Rakshabandhan is an occasion to remind ourselves for our duty towards the weaker sections of the society. As a thread is keeping all flowers together in garland, the thread of Hindutva is uniting all Indian-ness in us. Unless we take care of the thread, flowers of all varieties cannot remain together. Let's nourish this long neglected thread by actively participating in social work of our choice.We as a individual cannot survive and grow without healthy society and it is our collective responsibility to work towards its betterment.''

राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ अपने पारंपारिक त्यॉहारोंको सामाजिक आशय देना का प्रयास कर समाज को एक सुत्र में बांधना चाहता हैं. जैसे बहन भाईको राखी के बंधनमें बांधकर अपने कर्तव्यका स्मरण कर देती हैं उसी प्रकार हम रक्षाबंधनके इस पावन पर्व पर एक दुसरे को अपने सामाजिक दायित्वका बोध करनेका प्रयास करते हैं. जिस प्रकार फुलोंकी माला एक रहनेके लिये अखंडित सुत्रकी आवश्यकता होती हैं उसी प्रकार हर समाजको जोडनेवाला एक अंतस्थ सुत्र विद्यमान होता है. संघ की दृष्टीसे 'हिंदुत्व' के सुत्रसे अपना समाज अनादि कालसे जुडा हुआ है. इसी सुत्रको पुनःप्रस्थापित करने हेतु हम सब मिलकर कार्यरत होनेका आज संकल्प करें.
