 Second decade of  Kashmiri Hindus exile marked in New Delhi
Gadkhari says, autonomy report dangerous, BJP will  oppose it ‘tooth and nail’ and ensure Kashmiri Hindus safety.
Kashmiri Hindus must be returned with safety and honour  to their home in the valley. This must be the primary duty of the  Government. Thundered Mr. Nitin Gadkhari at a solemn function to mark  the two decade forced exile of Kashmiri Hindus. The function was  organised by Syama Prasad Mukherjee Research Foundation, a nationalistic  think tank. While responding to build an emotional expressway between  Srinagar and New Delhi, he promised safety and return of Kashmiri Hindus  return with honour and dignity. Commending Mr. Jagmohan, he acclaimed  his tenure as the ‘golden age’. To a self posed question, he answered  that, human Rights are independent of religion and ethnicity. He termed  greater autonomy report as pernicious and the BJP will oppose it ‘tooth  and nail’. The same was organised to express the solidarity to the five  lakh, forcefully exiled Kashmiri Hindus from their homes and hearth in  early 1990s. The controversial Justice Sagir Ahmed committee report on  granting greater autonomy to Kashmir was also deliberated. Mr. Jagmohan  cautioned that, granting greater autonomy would set a bad precedent in  reference to ‘troubled state’. Madhu Kishwar and Thupstan Chhewang and  demanded that any composite dialogue between New Delhi and Kashmir must  involve both Kashmiri Hindus and Ladakhi population. Mr. Bal Apte  regretted that human Rights institutions were showing double standard  towards ‘Kashmiri Hindus’.
   The Program was presided by Mr. Nitin Gadkhari, Mr.  Jagmohan, former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and Mr. Thupstan  Chhewang, former M.P and patron and president of Ladakh Union Territory  Front. The galaxy of august invitees included Madhu Kishwar, editor Manushi, Prerana Kaul Mishra, deputy  editor, Economic Times online, Mr. Moti Kaul, President All India  Kashmiri Samaj,   Mr. Bal Apte, Dr. Harshvardhan, Mr.  Tarun Vijay, the President, Secretary and Director of Syama Prasad  Mookerjee Research Foundation respectively and other office bearers of  Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
  The success of the program was evident from, all the  Delhi based Kashmiri Hindu organisations calling off independent  commemorative programs to join hands with Syama Prasad Mukherjee  Research Foundation to mark the two decade exile of Kashmiri Pundits.  The following Kashmiri Hindu organisations for the first time in history  joined hands together to spouse the aspirations of Kashmiri Hindus:  Ponnu Kashmir, Roots in Kashmir, Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch, Kashmir  Samiti, Delhi and All India Kashmiri Samaj.
